Middle and High School Japanese Teacher (Full-time)
Position Summary
KIU Academy in Niseko seeks a passionate and experienced Japanese teacher to join our team at a brand-new satellite campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Japanese language instruction to students in Middle and High School.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Japanese language lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including native and non-native Japanese speakers.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including other teachers, specialists, and administrators.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay abreast of current educational best practices.
- Contribute to the overall school community by participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
- May be assigned to teach other subjects, such as Social Studies, as needed.
Qualifications
- Christian believer in good standing with the local church, and in full agreement with the school’s statement of faith and code of conduct.
- Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language / Literature, Education, or a related field.
- Possessing or able to obtain ACSI teacher certification.
- Able to adapt to and deliver a western-style education.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about working with adolescents.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Japanese/English)
- Experience teaching in an international school setting
- Interest in international exchange and the surrounding Niseko region

- Print the Pastor Recommendation Form, and ask your pastor to fill it out and mail it (or email it) to the school. The form has instructions on how to fill it out and send it.
